19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his first trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has had a torrid period, winning just one win at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
His unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Presently working with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first title since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after that period of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his past six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.
The player's defensive play style and frequent reactions on the tennis court had led observers to question if his capacity to compete at the highest level was finished.
However the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform assertively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, securing four of the final five points to take the lead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour title, gained dominance to push for a final set.
He saved four early-game opportunities in a tight third set before Medvedev broke to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he earned the title with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
